Who do you know who wears a brooch almost everyday?
What a great way to personalize an outfit. This handmade sterling silver brooch features a gorgeous natural ammolite doublet gemstone. Ammolite is actually a fossil, turned into a gemstone by nature. This ammolite is mostly red, with some green and orange stripes.
The gem measures about 3/4"and weighs about 4.13ct. The entire pin measures about 2" long and 1" wide.
This one of a kind brooch was made using several jewelry making techniques. The leaves are foldformed and the stem is made with a traditional Japanese casting technique called Mitsuro hikime. Both of these processes are designed to create natural looking forms from metal.
I have given the sterling silver an oxidized patina.
You can wear this pin on a jacket lapel, on a scarf or even on a blouse.
Your pin will arrive in a ribbon wrapped gift box. It is ready to ship and it ships free in the US!
